From magazines, newspapers and cinema imagery, Ion Bîrlădeanu builds scenes in which public figures and anonymous characters share the same world. Collage becomes montage, and montage becomes satire.
Profana Comedie opened in April 2017 at H’art Appendix, at 91–93 Calea Victoriei. The exhibition reveals a personal language assembled from fragments of everyday visual culture.
